## How Six Feet Under plays

The game runs on a 6x6 grid with up to 46,656 ways to win, paying for matching symbols on adjacent reels from the left. On every spin, a random number of positions in the bottom rows are covered in dirt. These blocks act as blockers, and some of them hide a scatter, a Bomb or a Gem. Anything buried stays out of play until the dirt above it is cleared.

Boots, a backpack, a music box, a helmet and a camera form the premium set, paying 1.1x to 2.5x for six. A wild substitutes for all paying symbols. Line wins keep things ticking over, but the serious money is buried in the dirt.

## Bonus features

### Bombs

Six Bombs can land, each with its own blast pattern. The Small Box clears a 3x3 area and the Big Box a 5x5 area. The Teddy Bear explodes in a cross that reaches two positions in each direction. The Glass Can wipes its own row plus the rows above and below, the Gasoline Bomb does the same with columns, and the Cake clears its row, its column and both diagonals. Every explosion removes paying symbols and dirt, which is the only way to reach what lies beneath.

### Gems

Gems come in ten tiers worth 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x, 20x, 50x, 100x, 200x and 1,000x the bet. A Gem pays when a Bomb removes the dirt covering it. At the start of each avalanche, every Gem adds its base value again, so a 10x Gem that survives two avalanches is worth 30x once it is finally uncovered.

### Gem Upgraders

The Shovel removes itself from the grid, drops random Gems into empty dirt positions on its reel and upgrades any Gems already on that reel to a higher tier. The Toolbox does the same across all six reels, which makes it one of the best symbols to see before a Bomb goes off.

Three visible scatters trigger The Descent, while scatters hidden under dirt do not count. The round starts on an empty grid, and each new drop adds dirt and regular symbols. Dirt is sticky, so the screen gradually fills, and the round ends once the entire reel area is covered. Every scatter beyond the third removes the lowest Gem tier still in play, so a five-scatter trigger strips out the 1x and 2x Gems.
